Well, I live and breathe business but I do eat food! I have a busy and exciting schedule, with lots on the go, so it would be very easy to fall into a less-than-healthy lifestyle as a result. Many people, "road-warrior" sales reps especially, just plain do not have the time to eat right and keep some activity in their lives. Or do they, but they just don’t know it?
I thought I’d share some of the tips & tricks I’ve learned to keep my body as successful as my business ventures. I’m not a doctor and there are no miracles here, but every little step in the right direction will keep you healthier, happier, and give you that much more energy to put into your own entrepreneurial engine.
I had never heard of this stuff before, but I happened to see it on a store shelf the day after reading about it in a magazine, so- what the heck, I gave it a try! Quinoa (pronounced, KWEEN-wah) is a South American grain that has been a staple food down there for ages, but is little known in our neck of the woods. This stuff is awesome- easy to cook (just like rice, very difficult to mess up!), and it goes with anything:
- Throw in some yogurt and fruit and eat it like cereal in the morning.
- Mix in some tuna and nuke it for lunch, or have it cold in the car. It’s great both ways!
- Dinnertime- the perfect base for a stir-fry.
Cook up a big batch and keep it in the fridge so it’s ready on the fly. It’s packed with protein & fiber, excellent fuel to keep your body & mind ready to launch on the next step of your road to success! Added bonus- makes you look like an expert chef when you cook that first meal for someone special.
